40 hr Hands-On Bartending Training Program
Your bartending training begins here, right behind the bar! From your very 1st day to your last, you'll be hands-on in our Westchester New York bartending school. You will develop the talent and expertise it takes to become an extraordinary bartender. From soup to nuts we cover it all. Learn all the tricks of the trade in making great drinks and to keep the customers happy and coming back. Our bartending class is a combination of interactive lecture / demonstration, Q&A, Hands-On practice and practical drills. Our program was designed with you, the student, in mind. We’ve instituted a program that helps you learn faster, retain more and builds your confidence to succeed as a bartender. Our award-winning bartending course was created to maximize your efforts. Because when you practice in a real working environment, on real state of the art equipment, in a real barroom environment with individualized attention guiding you every step of the way, you learn MORE and you learn it BETTER. Translation? After taking our bartending course, you will have the confidence, techniques and expertise to bartend in ANY environment that sells or serves alcohol.
Our Westchester class provides a 40 hour, hands-on bartending training experience in a real working environment. We believe that by exposing our students to a diversity of drinks and by challenging them to work one-on-one with our staff, our students achieve a well rounded and balanced education. Our goal is to provide our students with ample experience, preparing them for future bartending jobs. You will be exposed to a wide variety of drinks, styles and techniques. FLAIR Bartender Training
The Academy of Professional Bartending School not only offers bartending classes. Mixing drinks is one thing, doing it with style is another. And, we are the only Flair bartending training school in Westchester NY. Flair bartending is the art / sport of skilled bartenders entertaining their audiences with the manipulation of anything behind the bar. Garnish tossing, napkin and coaster tricks, glassware rolling, spinning tins, and of course, bottle flipping are all done with precision and style. Learn to Flair and increase your tips! TIPS Training and Certification
A separate bartending certification program that we offer is TIPS. TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) is a skills-based responsible alcohol serving program that is designed to allow your patrons to have a good time while preventing intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving.
The On Premise program is a five-hour program targeted for servers at restaurants, bars, hotels or any establishment where alcohol is consumed on the premises. Employees learn strategies for serving alcohol responsibly, while providing the best possible customer service.
At the end of the program, the TIPS trainer distributes a 40 question, multiple-choice exam which is sent to Health Communications, Inc. for grading and certification. Results are then sent back to the original testing site. Upon successful passing of the exam, the students receive their certification card which is active for 3 years and good in any establishment he/she chose to work in. We offer 2 programs:
eTIPS ON PREMISE - Target Audience: restaurants, bars, nightclubs, resorts, hotels and other establishments where alcohol is consumed on the premises.
eTIPS OFF PREMISE - Target Audience: grocery stores, liquor stores, gas stations, and convenience stores. Learn more about the eTIPS program and registraion here.
