Hands-on training is training that occurs when students are in an educational environment and they are able to perform certain aspects of a task themselves. An example of hands-on learning is our bartending training class. The instructor will give a lecture/demonstration to the students in the class but then allow the students to get behind the bar themselves and practice what they have just learned. There are several benefits to hands-on training.
RETENTION - There is a huge increase (75%) in the amount of information that is retained by students who are given the opportunity to practice what they are learning in the form of hands-on training as opposed to just lectures.
REAL BARTENDER TRAINING EQUIPMENT - One of the benefits of hands-on training is that students will get a feel for the equipment they will be using in a bartending job after the course. Our classroom was designed to have the feel, look and functionality as with any genuine alcohol serving environment. Our facility is furnished with professional bartending equipment.
